Comfortable temperatures and partly to mostly cloudy skies were
observed over the region this afternoon. Highs ranged from the lower
70s in central Kansas, to near 80 in eastern Kansas. Winds were
mostly out of the south/southeast, and once again brought breezy
conditions at times to central Kansas, but were mostly calm for much
of the area.

A few showers and storms moved out of southern Kansas and into
northern Oklahoma this afternoon. Clouds and chances for additional
precipitation are expected to evacuate the region as the evening
progresses, with a few lingering clouds possible in south central
Kansas. Temperatures should drop into the upper 50s and low 60s for
a majority of the area, with lows in the mid 50s anticipated in
north central Kansas.

Another typical May day is forecast for the area on Wednesday, with
highs hovering around 80. Partly cloudy skies and calm easterly
winds are expected throughout the day.

Chances for precipitation will remain low for much of the area
throughout the day on Wednesday, though an isolated shower or storm
may pop up during the mid to late afternoon hours in southeast
Kansas. Low temperatures will drop to around 60 Wednesday night
under partly to mostly cloudy skies.
